About Us

Our Christian school can give a child the most meaningful reasons for the attitudes and behavior patterns which will help him fulfill his potential. Understanding that he is a beloved child of God, a student can want to use himself to the best degree he can each day. This leads him to self-respect, self-confidence and self-expectation. Seeing himself as one committed and obligated to God’s will and commandments, a child can improve his behavior toward others, develop self discipline and learn to respect authority.

Along with instilling these attitudes, our school is dedicated to academic preparation. We accomplish this goal with high scholastic standards, a strong qualified faculty, the best methods we can find, the best materials, a challenging pace of instruction, controlled class size and reliable testing.

For more than thirty-four years FHBA has provided rigorous and innovative Christian education in Nacogdoches. Our teachers are committed to guiding students to success, lead, and flourish through our small class size and traditional values. We emphasize the importance of a well rounded education – one that embraces the academic, spiritual, social, physical and emotional elements of life.

The early school years provide the educational foundation students build upon for a lifetime! At FHBA, we understand how critical this foundation is to the students’ future success. As students build this educational foundation, our goal is that they also grow in the word of God and develop a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We invite you to tour our campus to see what a difference this superior educational environment can make in the life of your child!

Our History

Fredonia Hill Baptist Academy was established in 1972 to offer the community a top quality Christian preparatory school with the goal of producing students prepared to be successful in school and in life. Fredonia Hill Baptist Church chose Mrs. Branch Patton as principal. The school opened with fifty students and four teachers in pre-kindergarten through second grade. As the enrollment and community support grew, classes were added.

When Mrs. Patton resigned in 1980, she asked Mrs. Joe Harris, the second grade teacher to assume the leadership role. As the school continued to grow, grades were added until we became a complete elementary school - pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Classes in technology, physical education, music and Spanish were also included in the curriculum.

Today, with the support of our wonderful Parent Organization we are thrilled with the comfort, convenience, organization, and suitability of our recently re-modeled facilities.
